• Grounds for Divorce

There is only one ground for divorce, this is that the marriage has "irretirevably broken down".  However, the reason for the breakdown can be given as one of the following 5 reasons:

• Unreasonable Behaviour
• Adultery
• 2 years separation (with consent)
• 5 years separation (without consent)
• Desertion after 2 years
