What are EPCs?
Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)
were introduced by the Government to assist in improving the energy efficiency of properties. They were originally introduced
as part of the Home Information Pack (HIP). On 20th May 2010, HIPs were suspended by the government but all
properties being sold are still required to have an EPC. This is because it is a European Community requirement.
The EPC provides a rating from "A" to "G" with "A" being the most energy efficient
and "G" being the least.
When you instruct us to
prepare an EPC our accredited Energy Assessor Jeremy Barlow will contact you to arrange to attend the property.
He will then carry out the EPC which can be sent as a link to your Estate Agents.
